The comfort food, variety of dishes, and our favoritism of diners gave this review 3 stars. So, it's a hit or miss if you don't care for diners and if you like servers checking on your needs.

Went with family of 3, and arrived an early dinner (4:30 pm). It was like the entire staff just gave up on everything by now... We were seated in an almost empty restaurant ; there were maybe 4 or 5 couples in the place. Of course we're seated next to the open dish/trash/coffee/soda station. We had a person with walker in the party, and they really seated us in the way of everyone incoming to the dining room, and the waitress station. The waitress knew the menu well enough; but not so much the food. Her service was maybe a 2 of 10.

No one came by to ask if we wanted coffee (I guess there’s a first time for everything). My husband had to ask for coffee... then had to ask for creamer after his coffee arrived. He received creamer on the second try.

We sat for at least 15 minutes in an empty restaurant with nothing to do but wait until we could flag down the waitress for our check and boxes. A different waitress was busy filling the jellies and stuff on each table- so she was productive and where she needed to be. But our waitress? My husband saw our waitress talking at the other end of the restaurant and flagged her down when she finally turned around.

We arrived for a late dinner just after 7p. We were seated without asking for preference of a booth- even though the large booths were available and ready.

It's a great restaurant, and the food is really good. Been here several times and I'm always happy with what I order. We've even dropped in really late close to closing and they still let us in. Very nice place, will continue dropping in. I typically go on weekdays, and when there is less people. Always been satisfied.

Usually great comfort food! But, lately, the service has been pretty bad. As in the busboy took our coffee cups away without asking if we wanted coffee- literally snuck up and just took them. Then, he never came to refill water or other drinks. Never checked the silverware (we needed another set).

Even mentioned these things to what appeared to be some managerial staff that we waited for several minutes at the cashier about some of our grievances; they seemed indifferent about the whole thing. Like this was the normal day's business.

We've visited this restaurant several times, and they've changed the menus (good thing)! I forgot to take pix of the menus, but I have pictures of the food :)

Excellent food and service ! We eat there at least 2× a month for the Friday night fish fry. If you leave hungry it's your own fault

We've been coming to Jessica's since we moved to the Roscoe area in 2004 and it's a favorite for casual dining for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The BLT's are excellent as are the Julienne salads. My breakfast favorite is the spinach and feta cheese omelet with rosemary potatoes. Good tasting, healthy food, at reasonable prices AND great coffee!

The waitress was a little more attentive, stopping by so we could ask for creamer... later asking if we could get a juice refill. We saw her at other tables, but once they left the section, we didn't see her at all. That was about half or so of our dinner of her MIA.

Today’s update:

The children’s meals were consistently good. I had the chicken a la king. Three biscuits- good value, but a little plain. I added a lot of black pepper, but it didn’t really help.

Review from 2 months ago:

The salad was cleared halfway through our entrees. I never got a refill on an unlimited fountain drink.

I've been seated in better places, in worse spots so I won't complain too much about that. However, the food was awful! Felt like; frozen, pre-packaged microwave garbage. The only thing that was "cooked" were the eggs we ordered, on a soggy breaded, wallpaper paste gravy chicken fried steak. Everything else tasted like was left to "Chef Mike" Aka: The Microwave.
